“He was her bodyguard. She was his weakness.”
If Twisted Love left your heart bruised, Twisted Games is here to finish the job. It’s forbidden. It’s angsty. It’s royally messy — literally. This is Princess x Bodyguard with all the tension, slow-burn, and emotional payoff you could want… or dread.
Summary
Meet Bridget von Ascheberg, the perfect modern princess — smart, stunning, and secretly craving freedom. When her brother steps down from royal duties, Bridget’s thrown into the spotlight as the future Queen.
Enter Rhys Larsen, her new bodyguard. Stoic, terrifyingly hot, and dangerously devoted to his job. He lives by rules. She was born into them.
But as Bridget’s world becomes increasingly fragile, and Rhys becomes the only person she can trust, their lines start to blur.
And when they do? The consequences are devastating.
Review (Aka The Scream Into The Pillow Part)
🖤 What I LOVED:
The Slowest Slow Burn Ever – Like painfully slow. But so satisfying once it hits.
Bridget’s Growth – She’s not just a pretty princess. Her arc from trapped royal to a strong woman in power? Chef’s kiss.
Rhys. Just Rhys. – Protective, brooding, emotionally guarded, and somehow soft underneath. He’s what dark romance dreams are made of.
The Forbidden Feels™ – Every touch, every look, every almost-confession had tension dripping from the page.
🙄 What Might Not Work For You:
Pacing – It’s a long book, and it takes its sweet time.
Alpha Male Overload – Rhys is intense, sometimes too much. Like… growling levels of intense.
Royal Drama – Some people don’t vibe with political plotlines. This has plenty.
What People Are Saying
“Bridget and Rhys made me want to throw my Kindle and then cry over it.”
— @romancereaderheart
“The bodyguard/princess trope is elite. Rhys is the kind of man who’d kill for you and then apologize for scaring you.”
— Reddit /r/RomanceBooks“I can’t stop rereading the hotel scene. If you know, you know.”

Final Thoughts
If you like forbidden love, brooding protectors, soft girl x emotionally unavailable man — this book will wreck you in the best way.
But if you’re not a fan of slow-burns or alpha types who breathe control, this may not be your cup of angst.

I’m not judging. I’m probably crying over Rhys too.
